🏆 WE ARE BIBA WINNERS! 🏆

What a night for STORTEC!

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been named Low Carbon Business of the Year at the prestigious #BIBAs2026!🌱🏆

And the celebrations didn’t stop there… we were also Runner Up and Highly Commended in the Medium Business of the Year category.

To receive recognition of this level is a huge achievement for STORTEC. The BIBAs are one of Lancashire’s most prestigious business awards, celebrating the very best businesses, people and achievements across the region.

But whilst the awards carry the STORTEC name, they belong to the people behind it.

💙 It is #TEAMSTORTEC that makes everything happen.

Across every department of our business, every single person plays a part in our success.

Our Low Carbon Business of the Year award is particularly special. Sustainability is something we are committed to embedding into everything we do, and to have that commitment recognised alongside the hard work and achievements of our wider business means a huge amount to us.

Winning a BIBA is a significant milestone and a moment for us to stop, reflect and celebrate just how far STORTEC has come.

Our biggest thanks go to every member of #TEAMSTORTEC. Without your hard work, dedication and commitment, none of this would be possible.

This one is for you 🧡

💪 MUD. GUTS. GLORY. 🪖

What a weekend for #TEAMSTORTEC! 👊

Our team took on the Born Survivor - Obstacle Course at the weekend — and they certainly weren’t afraid to get stuck in! 🏃‍♂️

There was plenty of mud, guts and glory, a few obstacles that tested both strength and teamwork, and no shortage of laughs along the way! 🟤💪

There may be a few sore limbs around STORTEC this week, but most importantly, everyone had a brilliant day and crossed the finish line together! 🙌

A great example of teamwork, resilience and a willingness to get very, very muddy! 😂

Well done to everyone who took part — you smashed it! 👏

☕💚 TEAM STORTEC ARE BREWING UP SOMETHING SPECIAL! 💚☕

We’re delighted to share that STORTEC will be taking part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September 2026! 🎂☕️

Our employees will be playing a big part in organising the event, bringing everyone together for a morning of coffee, cake, good company and, most importantly, raising money for an incredible cause.

But we’d also love to extend the invitation to our clients, suppliers, partners, friends and wider STORTEC network. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount can help Macmillan continue supporting people living with cancer, and their families, whoever and wherever they are. 💚

To put things into perspective, £305 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one day, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, contributes towards making a huge difference. 🙏

🌟 Sponsoring Local Talent 🌟

At STORTEC, we're proud to support young people in our local community as they pursue their ambitions, and we're delighted to share another fantastic update from one of the talented athletes we sponsor.

Following their recent success at the Blackburn competition, where Juliet and her ice dance partner claimed 1st place, they have now gone on to finish an incredible 3rd in the UK at last weekend's competition! 🥉🇬🇧

Alongside the competitive season, Juliet also took part in a fun artistic skating competition, where creativity was just as important as performance. The team went above and beyond, making their own costumes, with Amelia hand-painting every tattoo onto the bodysuit and even creating a giant Tamatoa crab prop inspired by Disney's Moana. 🦀✨

With training now well underway ahead of the new skating season starting in October, we know there's plenty more success to come.

A huge congratulations to Juliet, her skating partner, and everyone supporting them behind the scenes. We wish you the very best for the season ahead and are proud to be part of your journey.

Delivering Difference Together 🤝

Another great example of how collaboration, innovation and integrated delivery can make a real difference.

This 360° Package Solution brought together multiple disciplines to deliver a complete project, from the design and construction of a new access road and piling works, through to the water-retaining concrete tank base and installation of a 5,113 m³ ULTRASTORE® Tank.

The ULTRASTORE® Tank features a 24.7-metre diameter external beam roof and an internal full stainless-steel floor, providing exceptional durability, performance and long-term sustainability.

The result? A smarter, more streamlined approach that delivered:

✅ A reduced project programme
✅ Lower overall project costs
✅ An innovative and sustainable solution
✅ Seamless delivery through a fully integrated package

By combining expertise across multiple disciplines and managing the delivery as one integrated solution, we demonstrated how working together can reduce complexity, improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for our customers.
